Chris Grava is a creative director and project manager specializing in video, motion design, and immersive media.
His photos, videos, and virtual reality content have been exhibited by Gallery One11 (Cape Town), CAMA Gallery (London/Los Angeles), Dome Fest West (Los Angeles), and Iziko Museums of South Africa. He has also produced strategic and unique digital content (including photography, film, animation, and virtual and augmented reality) for commercial clients in the U.S., France, Kenya, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
He is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Intsikelelo, a nonprofit with a mission to empower vulnerable individuals through community-led initiatives. His work has organically reached millions of views online, crowdfunded a variety of community-led social impact programs, and earned a sponsorship from GoPro, as well as press coverage from Design Indaba, The Borgen Project, Daily Mail, The Daily Beast, BuzzFeed, Good Morning America, Huffington Post, and Ellen DeGeneres.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with minors in English and Corporate Strategy from Vanderbilt University. He has completed supplemental coursework at Harvard University, New York University, the University of Cape Town, ORMS Cape Town School of Photography, Friends of Design Academy of Digital Arts, and School of Motion.
